E-commerce ensures growth in the advertising market

A current survey, for which a number of online and media agencies were questioned, shows an optimistic view of the current year. While the German government has lowered its economic forecast to 3%, the agencies predict an increase of 3.5% for the overall economic development. The advertising market itself a growth of 4%. 📈

The survey also shows that mainly moving images and digital content are benefiting from the current economic situation. Google, Amazon and Facebook are the main beneficiaries of this development. Advertising on the platforms of these companies is also expected to grow this year. So while the relevance of digital media will continue to increase, it is assumed that that of print media will continue to decrease. Another winner is e-commerce. Online retailers are expected to significantly increase their advertising budgets in 2021. 🕵🏽‍♀️
