Social Media Trends 2023

Although it is “only” the end of October, the year is slowly but surely coming to an end. Time to take a look at the social media trends for the coming year. INTERNET WORLD interviewed speakers at the Social Media Conference. We have summarised three of the trends for you here:

TikTok-SEO

Josephine Ludewig (Director of Creative Strategy & Concept at Joli Berlin) sees TikTok-SEO as a big trend for the coming year. The background: Generation Z in particular uses social media not only as a social platform, but also as a search engine. It is therefore worthwhile to optimise one’s own content for this purpose.

Mikro-Communitiesc

Less is sometimes more. According to Nele Ackermann (Communications & Social Media Consultant at Otto), the trend is towards micro-communities. Away from large communities, users increasingly want to exchange information on niche topics. For companies, it is important to find out how they can place themselves there in a targeted manner and offer added value to both sides.

Video-Content

According to Max Anzile (CEO Social Media Pirates), video consumption will continue to increase in the coming year. Not only will the quantity increase, but also the length of the videos.
